I am a driven, enthusiastic, and capable ecological researcher who recently graduated with a strong academic record at Wageningen University & Research with a MSc in environmental sciences. I am excited to begin my career in conservation with an organisation full of dedicated and passionate professionals working towards meaningful and long-lasting solutions!

Throughout my professional and academic journeys, I have honed many skills across various disciplines. This includes qualitative and quantitative research methods, statistical modeling, fieldwork, and internal and external communications.

I strongly believe that I have the necessary competencies to excel in a junior researcher position. I have achieved certifications for ecological modeling from the Centre for Tropical Biodiversity Conservation as well as NASA ARSET. I am comfortable with R, Google Earth Engine, MaxEnt, Zonation, and the Adobe and Microsoft suites. I also have experience with social media and streaming tools, such as OBS, Twitch, and YouTube.

Perhaps even more than my technical abilities, what I pride myself most on is contributing positively to an organisation’s culture. I have previously worked mostly in small-team environments. I really valued the sense of camaraderie and trust that I found in these teams. This sort of energy I always try to bring into whatever teams I join, and I do this through respectful, open and honest communication with my colleagues, as well as an optimistic attitude. I also learned how to “wear many hats” and think creatively on my feet in these small-team, fast-paced environments, which I greatly enjoy.

I have worked in many fields and many different cultures throughout my life, and I find great value in experiencing this kind of variety. It allowed me to broaden my horizons, understand new perspectives and ways of living and working, and enter many situations with a learner's mindset. Variety is the spice of life, as they say!

Intern, The Fishing Cat Project (TFCP). West Bengal, Odisha, and Assam, India. April 2026 -

• Selected for Future for Nature’s (FFN) Field Fellows program to work alongside 2022 Future for Nature Award-winner Tiasa Adhya, co-founder of TFCP.

• Assisting in two projects, both based in wetland ecosystems. The first project centers around seasonal site use of Fishing Cats in Chilika Lake, Odisha. The second project is concerned with mesocarnivore assemblage in the floodplain ecosystem of Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve in Assam.

• Responsibilities include helping design study parameters for the first project; maintaining a clean, usable dataset for GLMs and occupancy modelling; setting up and Key Skills safely retrieving camera traps in Chilika Lake; sorting through camera trap data and ID’ing individual fishing cats; creating content for organisation’s Instagram page.

Teaching Assistant, Wageningen University & Research. Wageningen. August 2025 – January 2026

• Assisted in period 1 and period 2 for the Research Methodology in Environmental Science course instructed by Drs. Viktor Emonds and Peter Tamas.

• Responsibilities included monitoring student group functioning and engagement (32 groups in period 1, 11 in period 2) and intervening when needed; answering student questions; creating study materials; editing and giving feedback on existing learning materials.

Environmental Analytical Core Facility (EACF) Work Study, University of Massachusetts Boston. Boston, MA, USA. November 2023 – May 2024

• The EACF is home to environmental analytical instrumentation and sample processing laboratories. Responsibilities of work study included cleaning tools and materials used for sample processing and analysis, as well as assisting in operation of instruments such as a high-resolution magnetic sector mass spectrometer.

Public Relations, Marketing and Social Media Associate, American Public Television (APT). Boston, MA, USA. May 2018 – August 2022

• Managed and created daily content for APT’s social media platforms. Spearheaded sustained social media campaigns, including collaborations with Japanese broadcaster NHK, Rick Steves’ Europe, and Bob Ross Inc.

• In charge of monthly newsletter, which promoted upcoming programming to public television stations nationwide. Oversaw design and content of the newsletter, including writing the highlights, securing high-resolution photography, creating graphical elements, and mailing the newsletter out both electronically and physically.

• Wrote press releases, created press kits, and uploaded video promos to APT’s website.

• Assisted with creating marketing materials and projects for a small cloud-based IT consulting firm that does business nationally.

Sports Reporter, The State Press. Tempe, AZ, USA. February 2014 – May 2015

• Reported on Arizona State University’s (ASU) men’s and women’s golf teams and American football team, as well as its baseball team through the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

• In total, published 36 articles with The State Press. Was also featured in a recorded roundtable discussion about the ASU American football team.

• In addition, also wrote for AOL.com’s College Contributor Network. Researched and published two articles each week focused on the NBA and NFL. Published more than 40 articles for AOL.com with an average of more than 1,000 words per article.
